Eligibility and requirements

We offer a wide range of courses for international students beginning their legal education journey at all stages. Whether you’ve never studied law before or you’re a qualified legal professional, we have a route for you.

Do you already hold a legal qualification? If so, you may be entitled to exemptions for some qualifications. For example…

If you hold a LLB degree or equivalent Level 6 qualification based on English Common Law, you may be exempt from Level 4 CLC and will therefore be eligible to enrol on our CLC Level 6 qualifications
If you hold a degree or Level 6 equivalent in any subject, you may already be on your way to qualifying as a Solicitor of England and Wales as you will have completed the first step of the SQE

Already a foreign qualified lawyer? As a qualified lawyer you may also be exempt from the SQE2 assessment on the SQE route to qualify as a Solicitor of England and Wales.
